Each day i stay focused to help software engineers find the right development team they can work with. You would see me focused on:
- learning about a software engineers goals
- Setting up interviews
- Working with Tech Leads and Software Dev Managers to map their tech requirements
Treating people right is fundamental to how we do business. We treat our customers (clients and candidates) as we’d want to be treated.
Our Story
StraightUp was founded in 2017. Our headquaters is located close to a bush area in Browns Bay Auckland. We work remotely from our home office and love the lifestyle and the fullfillment to help others in their career. Our model is LEAN and being ESSENTIALISTS.
We are software engineers, analysts, sourcers, writers, speakers, runners, chefs, gamers readers, travellers and hard workers.
How we begin our day
A 10 min mindfulness exercise followed by a 40 minutes HIIT workout. Once we have cooled off a muscle recovery drink and a warm/cold shower gets us going.
Each month we treat ourselves to a massage and are hoping that we can get this to a fortnight in the months to come.
We are also big on green smoothies with a few super foods that help us to stay on our game.
Our lunches are made of fresh lentils, some lean meats, frozen veggies steamed or stir fried along with some dark chocolate as dessert
Throughout the day we stay hydrated with a broth soup, warm herbal teas or just water that’s filtered
We treat ourselves to a good day's work and a good night's sleep.
Every week we make it a point to have a team lunch to enjoy each other’s company, chill and celebrate the success and failures of the week.
So you can see we are big on FOOD
